Food as Information

Food is not matter; it is memory. Each molecule carries data that can restore or distort our genetic expression. By choosing real food, we choose regeneration.

The Pillars of Intelligent Design Nutrition™

The simplest, most user-friendly, science-backed nutrition strategy in modern history.

Intelligent Design Nutrition™ is built on the principle that your body operates using biological intelligence, and the foods you choose either support or obstruct that intelligence.

These five pillars make optimal nutrition simple, visual, and repeatable — no counting, tracking, or guesswork.

PILLAR 1 - THE DEFINITION OF FOOD

Food is a biological substance that contains all five essential elements required for human repair, restoration, and vitality:

  • Healthy carbohydrates and/or healthy fats

  • Vitamins and minerals

  • Fiber

  • Protein

  • Water

If it’s missing one or more of these essential elements → it is not food.
If it contains all five → it nourishes, repairs, and supports natural intelligence.

This single definition gives people a clear, non-toxic, shame-free framework for making better choices instantly.

PILLAR 2 — THE PROXIMITY FORMULA

(F) – (FLI) = (PTH / PTD)

Proximity to Health or Proximity to Disease©

Every food choice sends your body either toward health (PTH) or toward disease (PTD).

The Formula:

Food (F) – Food-Like Items (FLI) = Proximity to Health or Disease

Food (F):

Biological substances with all five essential elements

Provide nutrients, antioxidants, and phytonutrients that support cellular function, repair, and vitality

Food-Like Items (FLI):

Fragments or processed substances that lack essential nutrients

Disrupt biological communication, impair cell function, and contribute to disease Your proximity to health or disease is determined by:

- Amount of food consumed (supports biology)

- Minus amount of food-like substances consumed (disrupts biology)

Whole “foods” provide robust immune, cardiovascular, and cognitive support.
Food-like substances lead to cellular dysfunction, tissue deterioration, and long-term disease.

PILLAR 3 — THE ABCs (Always Build Color)

Color = Code. Color = Instruction. Color = Biological Intelligence.

Plant foods are naturally coded with phytonutrients that send instructions to your body.

Each color activates specific biological pathways:

Red: Heart, skin, cellular protection

Orange/Yellow: Immune function, vision, cellular repair

Green: Detoxification, cellular nourishment

Blue/Purple: Cognitive health, inflammation control, gut protection

White/Tan: Immunity, antimicrobial, cardiovascular support

Critical Insight:

Animal tissues provide almost no phytonutrients, which are essential for proper cell function. Insufficient phytonutrients increase the risk of cellular dysfunction and disease.

“Phytonutrients are produced exclusively by plants. Animal products provide negligible to no phytonutrient content.”

Journal of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics

The ABC Rule: Add at least one more color to every meal.

More colors = more phytonutrients = stronger immunity, better microbiome, reduced inflammation, enhanced cellular function.

PILLAR 4 — THE HYDRATION ZONE

Your body is 60–70% water. Optimal function depends on hydration.

Hydration includes:

  • Water

  • Water-rich foods (fruits, vegetables)

  • Herbal teas

  • Coconut water

Hydration supports:

  • Digestion

  • Detoxification

  • Brain function

  • Energy

  • Microbiome health

Key principle: Foods with intrinsic water are as important as drinking water itself. Proper hydration powers every cellular process.

PILLAR 5 — THE GUT CHECK (Microbiome Health)

Your gut is your second brain and your body’s control center.

A healthy gut regulates:

  • Immune function

  • Inflammation

  • Nutrient absorption

  • Mood

  • Cellular communication

To optimize the microbiome:

  • Eat high-fiber plant foods

  • Eat a variety of colors (phytonutrients)

  • Include fermented foods

  • Avoid food-like substances that disrupt gut flora

  • Stay hydrated

A simple question guides daily choices:
“Will this feed my microbiome or fight it?”

What Makes Food Intelligent

True food contains 5 crucial elements: healthy fats or carbs, vitamins and minerals, fiber, protein, and water. When these five criteria unite, food communicates with the body’s innate intelligence.
